The BAZ dump truck was sent for pilot operation at the Doroninsky deposit in the Magadan region, the machine will operate in conditions of industrial gold and silver mining for three months. This is stated in the message of Romanov JSC, which was received by Izvestia on August 27.

The car was handed over to Pacific Tractor, which has been leasing heavy machinery to northern mining and precious metals companies since 2005.

It is noted that Kolyma places special demands on technology: long distances between production facilities, unpaved technological roads and difficult terrain are combined here with a prolonged cold period. Winter in the region lasts from six to seven and a half months, and in the northern regions temperatures can drop to -50 °C and below.

In September, Romanov JSC plans to send a second dump truck, the BAZ S32A50, for pilot operation to a facility in the Srednekansky Urban District of the Magadan Region. The car will be operated by a gold mining company at a mine owned by it. Earlier, the equipment was tested in the Volga region, the Urals, Siberia and the Leningrad Region, and was also transferred for operation to enterprises in various industries, including divisions of Gazprom and Surgutneftegaz.

The BAZ S32A50 dump truck is manufactured in St. Petersburg according to the full technological cycle. It is stated that the level of localization of production exceeds 90%. Russian and Belarusian components are mainly used in the manufacture of machinery. The model has a 6×6 all-wheel drive and independent spring suspension on all three axles. This design ensures constant contact of the wheels with the surface and uniform load distribution of up to 12 tons per axle.

The launch of mass production of trucks and off-road chassis "BAZ" was announced on December 26 last year. The machines are manufactured at the Romanov production site in St. Petersburg. At that time, it was announced that the company plans to produce up to 600 trucks in 2026. The maximum capacity that the company expects until 2028 is 1,400 units per year when working in two shifts.

As reported on May 26, Romanov plans to expand the model range of its equipment. Next year, it is planned to introduce a version of the BAZ truck with an 8×8 wheel formula, then the company intends to release a 4x4 modification.
