The VGV brand has revealed the configuration of the seven-seat crossover U70 Plus for Russia

The mid—size seven-seat crossover VGV U70 Plus will enter the Russian market in two versions - "Style" and "Ultra". The distributor of the Chinese brand, which is part of the Sinotruck cargo concern, announced this in his Telegram channel.

In both versions, the VGV U70 Plus has a turbocharged 1.5-liter gasoline engine with 146 hp, which is paired with a 7-speed robotic transmission. It is stated that the car will receive anti-corrosion treatment, protection of the bottom and crankcase of the engine, gas stops, tow bar preparation and Russified plates.

By default, the VGV U70 Plus is equipped with LED optics, fog lights, 19-inch wheels and rails, factory tinting is provided. The crossover received a driving mode selection system, an electronic parking brake with AutoHold function, cruise control, rear parking sensors, a rear-view camera, keyless entry and engine start with a button. The interior is made of eco-leather and is equipped with an Android media system with a 10.25-inch display, a digital instrument panel, an audio system with four speakers and Bluetooth support.

Electric adjustment of the driver's seat, a winter package with heated front seats, steering wheel, windshield, washer nozzles and side mirrors are also provided. In addition, the list of equipment for the launch version will include front airbags, a basic set of assistants, ascent and descent assistance assistants, and tire pressure sensors.

In the top-end version, the list of equipment has been expanded with side airbags and sporty body design elements, a panoramic roof with an electric sunroof, an electric tailgate and folding mirrors, heated second-row seats, additional lighting and a six-speaker audio system. Optionally, the interior is decorated with brown eco-leather.

The VGV brand entered the Russian market at the end of 2024. Currently, the line includes U70 Pro crossovers (starting from 2.58 million rubles) and U75 Plus (starting from 3 million rubles).

Earlier in the day, it was reported that the new Tenet A8 sedan will be offered in Russia in two trim levels priced from 3 million and 3.5 million rubles, respectively. Each of them has its own power plant. The Tenet A8 is a localized version of the Chinese Chery brand model from the Arrizo line and is produced in St. Petersburg Shushars.
