The first mobile phones will be displayed at the St. Petersburg Communications Museum

An exhibition of legendary mobile phones will be held in St. Petersburg in the Small Hall of the Central Museum of Communications named after Popov. Residents and visitors of the city will meet with devices from different years: from the first "bricks" to modern models.

The exhibition is dedicated to the 35th anniversary of cellular communications in Russia. As noted by 78.ru The starting point is considered to be September 9, 1991, when the mayor of Leningrad, Anatoly Sobchak, made his first mobile phone call.

The exhibition will feature models from Ericsson, Sony, Nokia, Motorola and Apple. They will be taken from the museum's funds and from private collections of residents of St. Petersburg. Thus, the organizers of the exhibition clarified, anyone can bring their old phone from home and give it to the exhibition.

Earlier it was reported that doctors are increasingly diagnosing the so—called smartphone brush in young people - a complex of diseases of the hands and wrists associated with prolonged use of mobile devices. Over the past 10 years, the number of such complaints has increased by almost 50%.
