The farewell ceremony for Irina Gorbunova will be held on August 28 in Krasnogorsk.

The farewell ceremony for the theater critic, teacher, opera critic and editor of the Museum and exhibition department of the Stanislavsky and Nemirovich-Danchenko Theater (MAMT) will take place on August 28 in Krasnogorsk, Moscow region. This was announced on August 27 by the press service of MAMT.

"The farewell ceremony will take place on Friday, August 28, 2026, at 12:30 p.m. in the funeral hall of Medsi Hospital. After the farewell ceremony, a memorial dinner will be held," the theater's website says.

Irina Gorunova passed away on August 25 at the age of 67 after a serious and prolonged illness.

Gorbunova was born in Moscow in 1960. From 2006 to 2020, she was the press secretary and head of the theater's press service, and later became the editor of the video department and the museum and exhibition department of the MAMT. In addition, she taught theater history at the Moscow State Academy of Choreography (MGAKH) and collaborated with other educational institutions.
