Over the past day, 317 road accidents were recorded on Russian roads, in which 36 people were killed and 356 injured. 30 of the dead were drivers and passengers. This was reported to Izvestia on August 27 by the State Traffic Inspectorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia.

As a result of 70 accidents involving pedestrians, six people were killed, and 67 more were injured in various degrees of severity. Nine bus accidents were caused by traffic violations committed by drivers of other vehicles. There were also 50 accidents involving minors, in which 50 young road users were injured, including 16 passengers and six pedestrians. Two children were killed: a boy pedestrian and a girl passenger in a passenger car.

The State Traffic Inspectorate reminded parents of underage road users of the need to be more attentive to their children, trying to ensure maximum safety for them on the road.

"We urge you to pay attention and care to them: by your example, you influence their behavior on the road, so strictly follow the rules of the road. Do not leave children unattended outside. When driving with them on foot near the roadway, including in "quiet" courtyards or territories adjacent to retail outlets, lead them by the hand to exclude possible unpredictable actions of children due to their age, as well as to have time to react to the danger from drivers maneuvering or parking, who may not see There are young pedestrians on the road, even if they are very close to adults," said Police Colonel Sergey Hrantskevich, head of the Department for Road Safety Promotion and Prevention of child traffic injuries at the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia.

Earlier in the day, it was reported that events of the All-Russian social campaign "Promoting Safety" had started in Yakutia, aimed at reducing the number of accidents at intersections.
