On August 27, the operator of the FPV drone of the 77th regiment of the Southern Group of Forces with the call sign Man spoke about the use of the Osa FPV drone in the zone of a special military operation. According to him, the device is capable of hitting both ground and air targets at a range of up to 20 km.
"They fired different types of shells, because it depends on the target. We raise fragmentation bombs for infantry, we raise battery batteries for equipment. We are flying through the sky with a light fragment," he told Izvestia correspondent Egor Kildibekov.
The operator noted that the Wasp is also used for mining, dumping and delivering goods to remote locations. The drone has already destroyed more than a hundred aerial targets, including heavy Baba Yaga hexacopters, which now fly not only at night, but also during the day. The fighters are trying to clear the sky to facilitate the advance of the assault groups.
The drone arrives fully assembled and does not require firmware, the serviceman said. The fighters are refining individual elements: they strengthen the legs and add channel switching. In addition, the drone manufacturer takes into account the comments and continues to improve the model, Man said.
On August 21, a soldier of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation with the call sign Mechanic spoke about the use of the Courier ground-based robotic system in the zone of a special military operation. According to the serviceman, the platform is used for cargo delivery, evacuation and performing various tasks without risk to personnel. The Courier NRTC is a multifunctional platform on which various types of weapons can be installed, including machine guns, a grenade launcher and a mine clearance trawl.
