Tropical storm in the Atlantic will be named "Dolly"
The approaching tropical storm in the Atlantic Ocean will be named "Dolly", but the name is not related to the recent death of American country singer and film actress Dolly Parton. This was announced by the Associated Press on August 26.
"The next tropical storm to form in the Atlantic this hurricane season will be named Dolly, but this is pure coincidence and has nothing to do with the death of Dolly Parton on Tuesday," the article says.
Storm names are set by the World Meteorological Organization, and the name lists are reused every six years. For the Atlantic region, the lists are arranged in alphabetical order and alternate male and female names.
