The air defense forces eliminated about 40 Ukrainian drones over the Rostov region overnight. This was announced by Governor Yuri Slyusar on August 26.

"About four dozen UAVs were destroyed in the city of Taganrog and seven districts of the region: Tarasovsky, Millerovsky, Chertkovsky, Sholokhovsky, Matveevo-Kurgan, Kasharsky, Bokovsky," he wrote in the Maks messenger.

It is specified that in the Millerovsky district, as a result of falling UAV debris, a dry grass fire occurred, which was promptly eliminated. In Kamensky district, due to the fall of the drone debris, a forest fire started on an area of 4.5 hectares, which was also soon extinguished.

The Ukrainian Armed Forces launched a record number of drones in a day, but the Russian air defense system stood the test of strength.

On the same day, the operational headquarters of the Belgorod region reported that three people were injured as a result of drone attacks on two municipalities in the region. It was noted that in the area of the village of Pogorelovka in the Korochansky district, a drone attacked a truck. Paramedics treated a man with a shrapnel wound to his foot on the spot.
