The crews of the Ka-27 of the Northern Fleet worked out the evacuation of the conditionally injured

Crews of Ka-27 helicopters of the Northern Fleet's mixed Aviation Corps conducted a series of events during a planned tactical flight exercise over the waters of the Barents Sea and the Kola Bay. This was announced on August 26 by the press service of the Northern Fleet.

The crews of Ka-27PS helicopters practiced the evacuation of a conditionally injured person from a nuclear submarine. The helicopter hovered over the submarine, after which a rescue paramedic was brought aboard with the help of a launching device for the subsequent lifting of the victim into the helicopter.

"As part of a tactical flight exercise, the crew flew into the sea to evacuate a conditionally injured person from a submarine <...>. This is one of the most difficult tasks for a helicopter, so many factors need to be taken into account," said Denis, navigator of the Ka-27 helicopter.

At the same time, the crews of the Ka-27M anti-submarine helicopters practiced landing and takeoff skills from the ship's deck. The servicemen performed a series of take-offs and landings on the deck of a large anti-submarine ship that was out of action in the Kola Bay.

It is specified that such training helps the crews to hone their helicopter control skills in conditions of limited space and sea waves.

The main objective of the exercise was to improve the professional training of the crews and maintain their readiness to perform their assigned tasks. The program includes working out the search for submarines, anti-submarine measures and search and rescue operations.

On August 25, the press service of the Pacific Fleet (Pacific Fleet) reported that crews of Tu-142 anti-submarine aircraft of the Pacific Fleet conducted a search for imaginary enemy submarines in the areas of the Sea of Japan and the Sea of Okhotsk, as well as off the Kuril Islands. The planes took off from one of the airfields of Primorsky Krai. During the flights, the crews used radar and sonar detection devices, as well as analyzed the information received.
