The Pentagon has signed a contract with Raytheon for the production and maintenance of new radar stations for B-52 strategic bombers. The maximum amount of the agreement is $603 million. This was announced on August 25 by the US military.

"Raytheon of El Segundo, California, has received a contract worth $603 million with an indefinite supply volume and expiration date for the production and maintenance of radars for B-52 aircraft," the publication on the website says.

It is specified that under the contract, the aircraft will receive new AN/APQ-188 radars, which should replace outdated systems. It is planned to complete all work under the contract by August 20, 2031. The contract was concluded without a tender.
