The Izhavia Airline, whose operator's certificate had previously been revoked, sent a package of documents to the Federal Air Transport Agency to obtain a new certificate. This was announced on August 25 by the Government of Udmurtia.

"The package of documents for the new flight certificate was prepared, as planned, on August 20. He's already at the Federal Air Transport Agency. We are waiting for a decision to be made in the second half of November," the ministry said in a statement.

The Udmurt authorities had previously announced plans to include Izhavia in the projected privatization plan for 2026. The need to sell the company in the region was explained by attracting additional investments.

A source close to the government of Udmurtia told Izvestia on August 3 that Roman Yefimov, the retired chairman of the regional government, would head the Izhavia state enterprise. The company unites the airline of the same name and Izhevsk Airport.
