Eight bears are eliminated in the Tyumen region
Eight brown bears will be shot in two districts of the Tyumen region. Such measures are being taken for the safety of local residents.
According to the <url> news agency, hunting will be held in the Uvatsky district from August 26 to September 24. Seven bears will need to be eliminated there. One predator will be shot in the Tobolsk district.
The State Department of the region explained that the decision to regulate the number was made in order to prevent a threat to the population. Earlier, local residents reported on predators that began to come out to people.
In Gorny Altai, a bear attacked a tourist in a tent and mauled her to death. The animal pulled the girl out of the tent and dragged her into the forest. After the incident, a curfew and a high-alert regime were imposed in the Artybash rural settlement.
