The ex-director of Gazmanov Tsarenko declared conscientious work for the singer

Dmitry Tsarenko, the former director of singer Oleg Gazmanov, who is accused of fraud related to embezzlement of money from the artist's concerts, said in the arguments of the parties that he faithfully performed his duties while working for him. This was announced on August 24 by a correspondent of Izvestia from the hall of the Khoroshevsky court in Moscow.

"There have never been criminal acts in my actions, let my (with Gazmanov — Ed.) lasted more than a quarter of a century and what ended was an expensive reckoning. <...> I faithfully performed my functions," Tsarenko said.

According to the defendant, during the consideration of the case, the state prosecution did not provide evidence that his actions had harmed the artist. During the debate between the parties, the state prosecution requested nine years in prison for Tsarenko in conjunction with his first sentence, handed down in 2025.

The former director is charged with embezzlement of more than 15 million rubles by abuse of trust, using his official position.

On August 7, Tsarenko's lawyers, accused of fraud related to embezzlement of money from the artist's concerts, asked the court to acquit their client. The former director is charged with embezzlement of more than 15 million rubles by abuse of trust using his official position.

On April 30, the Moscow court dismissed the claim of former director Gazmanov for the recovery of funds from the singer. It was noted that in 2024, the singer stated that he suspected his director of stealing money from concerts, after the proceedings Tsarenko received four years in prison for 13 cases of fraud totaling more than 10 million rubles. Later, another criminal case was opened, which is currently being considered. Gazmanov personally came to court to testify, and his son Rodion was also interrogated.
