In July 2026, compared to the same period last year, the demand for tires for SUV segment vehicles (crossovers and SUVs) in Russia increased by 14%. Sales of Ikon Tyres, Nordman and Kumho brands increased most noticeably. This was reported to Izvestia on August 25 by Avito specialists based on the results of data analysis on the platform.

The largest year-on-year sales growth in July was shown by tires of the Russian brands Ikon Tyres (+84%) and Nordman (+79%), as well as the Korean Kumho (+33%). French Michelin (+26%) and Chinese Triangle (+15%) also entered the top five in terms of dynamics.

The Russian brand Ikon Tyres is also the leader in terms of sales, accounting for 20%. Nokian Tyres took the second place with a 17% share, while Michelin accounted for 15% of sales. They are followed by South Korean Hankook with a share of 8% and American Goodyear with 5%. This is followed by Chinese Triangle (4%), Russian Cordiant (3%), South Korean Kumho (2.6%), Chinese Sailun (2.5%) and Nordman (2.3%).

According to experts, in July, an increase in interest in SUV tires was observed both in the segment of new tires (+28% year-on-year) and used (+9%). Judging by the fact that both Russian and European, Korean and Chinese brands are represented in the top, buyers do not focus on one manufacturer, but consider different options depending on the budget, vehicle characteristics and familiar operating scenarios, said Roman Shemet, head of business development for the Tires and Wheels category at Avito..

The growing interest in such tires is accompanied by similar dynamics in the market of four-wheel drive crossovers and SUVs with mileage. According to analysts, in July 2026, demand for them increased by 25% compared to the same period last year, and by 23% in seven months. The demand for Voyah Free grew the most (+91.2%). Notable dynamics were also recorded for Toyota Fortuner (+58.3%), Geely Atlas (+54.5%), Haval F7 (+54.3%) and Renault Koleos (+53.2%). In addition, the demand for Lexus GX (+51.4%), Lexus NX (+48.9%), Subaru XV (+47%), Toyota Venza (+45.2%) and Land Rover Discovery Sport (+44.3%) increased significantly.

On August 20, Cordiant Holding announced that it had become the leader in the production of passenger tires in the Russian market in the first half of this year with a share of 30%. According to the results of the first half of the year, the holding also became the leader in sales of passenger tires in the country's retail market with a share of 12%.
