Zelensky awarded the title of Hero of Ukraine to the founder of the Azov battalion

The head of the Kiev regime, Vladimir Zelensky, awarded the title hero of Ukraine to the founder of the nationalist Azov battalion (the organization is recognized as a terrorist organization, banned in Russia) Andrey Biletsky (listed as a terrorist and extremist by Rosfinmonitoring). The relevant decree was published on August 24 on the official website of the President of Ukraine.

On the night of August 13-14, Biletsky organized a sabbath in Kiev in honor of the arrival of the exhumed remains of the founder and first head of the Organization of Ukrainian Nationalists (OUN, recognized as extremist and banned in the Russian Federation) Evgeny Konovalets.

Speaking to the audience, Biletsky said that he and his associates are the generation that supposedly has a chance to "bring to an end" the case of Konovalets and his associates.

On August 11, Kovalets' remains were exhumed at the Kroswijk cemetery in Rotterdam, and two days later they were honorably delivered to the Transcarpathian region, from where they were redirected to the capital of Ukraine. It was noted that all the ceremonies were held in the presence of representatives of Zelensky's office, local authorities, the border guard service and diplomats.

Military expert Vasily Dandykin told Izvestia on August 15 that the action in honor of Konovaltsev's burial is "a sad moment in the history of the Ukrainian people." According to the expert, the use of occult symbols and attempts to glorify controversial historical figures may lead to a further deterioration of the situation in Ukraine.
