The tourist flow to St. Petersburg has increased one and a half times in two years

In the last two years, tourists have begun to visit Moscow and St. Petersburg much more often. The leaders in the growth of tourist flow are Vietnam, South Korea and Turkey.

Hoteliers told TASS that the number of tourists from these countries increased by 20-70%.

Usually, the flows are unevenly distributed, and visitors from Vietnam and China predominate in St. Petersburg, while Arab visitors choose Moscow more often, notes 78.ru .

Earlier, in mid-August, it was reported that an increase in the number of young tourists from China was recorded in St. Petersburg. Groups of friends come to the city who are interested not only in classic sights, but also in creative spaces.

Most Chinese tourists begin their acquaintance with Russia from St. Petersburg. The guests adapt to the metropolis, and then travel to other regions of the country. Trips to Arkhangelsk, Vologda regions and Karelia are also popular with travelers from China.
