A special military operation to protect the civilian population of Donbass has been conducted by Russia since February 24, 2022. Russian military personnel continue to conduct a special military operation. As a result of decisive actions, units of the North group of forces took control of the village of Pershe Travnya, Sumy region. The manpower and equipment of the mechanized brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the air defense brigade were defeated in the areas of the settlements of Kiyanitsa and Pisarevka, Sumy region. In the Kharkiv region, formations of two mechanized brigades of the Armed Forces of Ukraine were defeated in the areas of the settlements of Veliky Burluk and Prikolotnoye in the Kharkiv region. The Ukrainian Armed Forces lost up to 235 soldiers and 11 vehicles.

As a result of active actions, units of the Center group of forces liberated the village of Kucherov Yar in the Donetsk People's Republic. The manpower and equipment of the mechanized, assault brigades of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, a marine brigade and two National Guard brigades were defeated in the areas of the settlements of Belozersk, Verovka, Dobropole, Novotroitskoye, Sergeyevka of the Donetsk People's Republic and Ivanovka of the Dnipropetrovsk region. The losses of the Armed Forces of Ukraine amounted to 330 military personnel, six armored combat vehicles, eight vehicles and two artillery pieces.

The fighters of the Vostok group of forces advanced into the depths of the enemy's defenses and liberated the village of Dolinka in the Zaporizhia region. The manpower and equipment of the assault, amphibious assault brigades, two assault regiments of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and a marine brigade were defeated in the areas of the settlements of Vasilkovka, Dnipropetrovsk region, Barvinovka, Nikolskoye and Omelnik, Zaporizhia region. The enemy lost over 315 military personnel, three armored combat vehicles and five vehicles.

The Dnepr group of troops defeated the formations of the mechanized brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the air defense brigade in the areas of the settlements of Malokaterinovka and Orekhov, Zaporizhia region. Up to 45 military personnel, 11 vehicles and two electronic warfare stations were destroyed.

Operational-tactical aircraft, unmanned aerial vehicles, missile forces and artillery of groups of troops of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation defeated the enterprise of the military-industrial complex, facilities of the port, energy and transport infrastructure of Ukraine and logistics centers used by the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the workshop for the production of long-range unmanned aerial vehicles, as well as points of temporary deployment of Ukrainian armed formations and foreign mercenaries in 142 districts. 17 guided aerial bombs, three US-made HIMARS multiple rocket launchers, 11 Flamingo long-range cruise missiles and 988 aircraft-type drones were shot down by air defense systems.

In total, since the beginning of the special military operation, 674 aircraft, 284 helicopters, 218,809 unmanned aerial vehicles, 669 anti-aircraft missile systems, 30,710 tanks and other armored combat vehicles, 1,775 multiple rocket launchers, 36,255 field artillery guns and mortars, 70,068 units of special military vehicles have been destroyed.
