A Russian fighter told about the explosion of a drone a meter away from himself

A soldier of the Vostok group of forces with the call sign Sanych survived a Ukrainian drone strike, which detonated literally a meter away from him. The fighter escaped with a severe concussion, but did not receive a single shrapnel wound.

During the combat mission, Sanych was driving a car through a wooded area when he noticed a Ukrainian drone chasing him in the air. Realizing that he was becoming an easy target in the car, the military man immediately decided to leave the vehicle and try to hide among the trees. However, the enemy acted preemptively: the drone attacked almost simultaneously with the fighter leaving the cabin.

The explosion occurred at a dangerously close distance — less than a meter from the soldier. The shock wave turned out to be so powerful that Sanych lost his orientation in space for two days, however, contrary to all the laws of physics, the fragments passed by.

"It hit me so hard that I was shell—shocked for two days, and there wasn't a single scratch," Sanych shared the details with RIA Novosti.

Despite the severe stun and temporary loss of coordination, the fighter was not left alone in the danger zone. His colleagues helped him get out of the line of fire, who promptly evacuated his friend to a safe place. The military added that, despite his proximity to the epicenter, he was saved by a quick decision to leave the car, which probably took over the bulk of the damage.
