Roskachestvo predicted lower prices for grapes due to high yields

Experts predict a high grape harvest in the Krasnodar Territory in 2026, which will affect prices. This was reported on August 23 by TASS with reference to Roskachestvo.

"The forecast for this year is 250 thousand tons of grapes. <...> A large harvest this year may lead to lower purchase prices by processors: from 120-140 rubles per kilogram of high—quality grapes to 80-100 rubles," said the agency interlocutor.

According to Roskachestvo, white varieties — Sauvignon Blanc and Riesling - are especially in demand this season. However, not all plots will please winegrowers: hail, which repeatedly struck the region during the period of active growth, and high humidity, which provoked fungal diseases, could negatively affect yields in individual farms.

Nevertheless, as the experts emphasized, in most vineyards where antifungal treatment was carried out in a timely manner, excellent results are expected. In terms of the volume and quality of the berries harvested, this season may become one of the best in a decade.
