The expert spoke about the rise in price of school enrollment in Russia

In June 2026, the average cost of conditional school enrollment in Russia, calculated by ACRE based on Rosstat data, was 17 thousand rubles for a boy and 19 thousand rubles for a girl. Compared to June 2025, both sets have risen in price by slightly less than 4%. This was announced by Evgenia Trautman, an expert of the ACRA group of sovereign and regional ratings, in a conversation with Izvestia.

In the current ACRA analysis, conditional sets were used, formed from goods included in the monitoring of average monthly prices by Rosstat. The set for the boy included an insulated jacket, wool trousers and denim trousers, two shirts, cross-country shoes, a satchel or backpack, 20 notebooks, a sketchbook, five ballpoint pens, two black pencils and a set of markers. For the girl, the set included an insulated jacket, denim trousers, a dress or sundress, two blouses, a skirt, cross-country shoes, a satchel or backpack, 20 notebooks, a sketchbook, five ballpoint pens, two black pencils and a set of markers.

"Stationery increased in price most noticeably in relative terms — by 6%. In June of this year, the price of stationery in the amount included in the conditional set was just over 900 rubles. The cost of a set of clothes for boys was just over 13 thousand rubles, which is 3.5% higher than a year earlier, and a set of clothes for girls — 15 thousand rubles, which is 3.9% higher than last year's value. The backpack went up by 2% and cost about 2.7 thousand rubles in July of this year," the expert said.

The lowest cost of a full conditional set in June 2026 was recorded in the Republic of Kalmykia: 12.3 thousand rubles for a boy and 14.9 thousand rubles for a girl. The maximum values were recorded in the Murmansk region — 24.4 thousand and 27.7 thousand rubles, respectively.
