Yards of 18 settlements fell into the flood zone in the Khabarovsk Territory

In the Khabarovsk Territory, 18 settlements fell into the flood zone on the Amur and Ussuri rivers. The water entered 20 household and 452 suburban areas, 15 sections of roads inside villages and four sections of roads between villages.

Such data is reported by IA AmurMedia with reference to the Ministry of Emergency Situations in the region. The situation remains stable in Khabarovsk, Khabarovsk and Nanai districts. There are no new floods there. In the Amur region, due to rising water levels in the Amur River, the number of territories in the danger zone has increased.

In Khabarovsk, the water level on the morning of August 21 was 504 cm. During the day, the water dropped by 2 cm. However, hydrologists predict a further rise in water up to 600 cm. The value is dangerous.

Currently, water levels of the "unfavorable phenomenon" category are recorded on the Middle and Lower Amur at the Leninskoye village (EAO) – Komsomolsk-on-Amur section. Flooding is present in the floodplain of the Amur Bayou near the village of Kazakevichevo, as well as the Lower Amur River to a depth of 2.4 m.

After heavy rains, the water level rose on the rivers Pravy Podhorenok, Podhorenok, Khor, Matai and Ussuri.

On August 11, a state of emergency was introduced in Khabarovsk due to the rise in the Amur River. The corresponding decree was signed by the mayor of the city Sergey Kravchuk. The decision was made against the background of an unfavorable forecast by hydrologists. By the end of August, the water level in the river may reach 600 cm. Now the mark is 475 cm.
