- 1.3 thousand hectares of land were transferred to farmers of the Moscow region for use
Farmers of the Moscow region have received more than 1.3 thousand hectares of land for free use for up to six years. This was announced by the head of the regional Duma Igor Bryntsalov.
The plots of land were allocated as part of the "10 hectares near Moscow" program, which was launched in 2022. Since then, 48 contracts have been concluded, writes the online publication Podmoskovye Segodnya.
According to Bryntsalov, the goal of the project is to help farmers in business development. In six years, a farmer can invest not in renting a field, but in the development of machinery, infrastructure and production.
Earlier it was reported that the farm "Farmer's Paradise" was given two plots with a total area of 4.9 hectares for growing strawberries. The berries will be planted in 2027.
