Moscow video game studios will participate in the WePlay Expo, which will be held on November 21-22 in Shanghai. Applications are accepted online until September 18, said Deputy Mayor Natalia Sergunina.

"With Moscow's support, the companies will present their projects to a foreign audience, meet with potential partners and study the specifics of entering the Chinese market. The business mission will continue its series of business trips. Since the beginning of the year, representatives of the capital's video game industry have already visited Brazil, Malaysia and Singapore," Sergunina said.

Recently, more than 20 games from the capital's developers were presented at the ChinaJoy exhibition in China. As a result, agreements were concluded on localization, distribution and joint development of products. For example, publishers were interested in a project based on Slavic mythology, an immersive game based on Leo Tolstoy's novel War and Peace, as well as racing and sports simulators.

Business missions are conducted within the framework of the Moscow Video Game Export program. It is one of the tools of the ecosystem of the Moscow Cluster of Video Games and Animation, which was launched in November at the Skolkovo Innovation Center.

Last year, thanks to the support of the city, the capital's studios signed 36 export contracts, including with colleagues from China, the United Arab Emirates and Indonesia. The total amount of transactions exceeded 1 billion rubles.
