Cordiant Holding has declared leadership in tire production in Russia

Cordiant Holding, whose total production capacity exceeds 14 million tires per year, became the leader in the production of passenger tires in the Russian market in the first half of this year with a share of 30%. This is stated in the company's message, which was received by Izvestia on August 20.

According to the results of the first half of the year, the holding also became the leader in sales of passenger tires in the country's retail market with a share of 12%. The company recorded growth in both the summer (+12%) and winter (+15%) tire segments.

In the most highly competitive mid-price segment of the retail summer passenger tire market, Cordiant, with the Cordiant and Torero brands, retained an 18% share. Sales of summer passenger tires under the Torero brand increased by 78%. The brand's share in the B-segment (mid-price) of the summer passenger tire market increased by 2 percentage points (pp). The volume of sales of Cordiant summer tires remained at the level of last year with a slight increase of 1%.

Sales of Gislaved premium summer tires for passenger cars increased almost 2.5 times (+144%) compared to the first half of 2024, and winter tires increased by 90%. The holding's share in the premium segment increased by 5 percentage points in the reporting period, to 12%.

In the 2024/25 winter season, Cordiant will launch sales of the Gislaved One W studded novelty, which will be available in 22nd diameter. This is the first in-house development of the holding and its member scientific and technical center "Intair". The Cordiant Winter Drive 2 and Cordiant Snow Cross 2 lines and the range of the budget brand Tunga have also been expanded.
