In Yekaterinburg, a gynecologist left a patient infertile and was able to avoid punishment. This was reported to Izvestia on August 20 in the Oktyabrsky District Court.

It is noted that the doctor was sentenced to two years of restriction of liberty with a ban on medical activity for a year, but then released from punishment due to the expiration of the statute of limitations of criminal prosecution.

In May 2022, a gynecologist removed the girl's right fallopian tube, and then crossed the healthy left tube with a surgical instrument, although there were no medical indications for that. As a result of the incident, the patient lost the opportunity to conceive a child, and the doctor entered false information into the protocol to hide the truth.

The girl found out about the incident only a year later, during an examination at another clinic. At first, the medic was charged with intentionally causing harm, but the court reclassified the case as causing serious injury by negligence. The defendant pleaded not guilty.

In early August, a woman was admitted to the intensive care unit before having her implants installed at a private clinic in northern Moscow. The patient lost consciousness after anesthesia. It was later reported that she had been rescued. The cause of the incident was anaphylactic shock.
