Tight trousers are gradually returning to the mass wardrobe, international fashion stylist Alexandra Levitina told Izvestia. However, they do not displace wide models, but serve as an alternative to the oversize.

"The catwalk context does not reflect the replacement of one silhouette by another, but their coexistence. The commercial potential of the adjacent models is explained by the fact that the consumer does not have to change the entire wardrobe — it is enough to replace one bulky element with a narrower one and combine it with existing loose jackets, shirts and outerwear," the specialist noted.

After a long dominance of one visual code, first there is fatigue from its ubiquity, and then there is a demand for contrast and greater individuality, the editorial interlocutor added.

She recommended choosing not just the "most fashionable" style, but creating a silhouette to fit your lifestyle and wardrobe needs. Wide trousers form interesting style combinations, straight ones work as a neutral base, and narrow ones add dynamics and emphasize the contour of the figure, the expert explained.
