Alexander Asafov, director of the EISI Laboratory of New Technologies and a political scientist, expressed the opinion that the searches of Irina Mudra, deputy head of the office of President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky, are links in a chain of systemic pressure on the Kiev authorities.

In conversation with Lenta.Ru On Wednesday, August 19, the expert noted that certain forces in the United States had relied on former Ukrainian Defense Minister Mikhail Fedorov and were now amplifying signals about the need for elections and the fight against corruption. According to him, the actions of the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU) and the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office (SAPO) may look disjointed, but in fact they work in the same direction. The political scientist recalled that earlier Fedorov himself openly accused representatives of the Ukrainian authorities of corruption and declared the need for elections.

"Additional actions are needed to ensure that this statement does not remain isolated. The structures controlled by the Americans act at their discretion, reinforcing this signal. These are links in the same chain," he explained.

Asafov added that American forces, including representatives of the technocratic elite, Palantir and other Pentagon suppliers, had placed a bet on Fedorov. In his opinion, one of the signs of further pressure may be an increase in the number of publications on this topic in the Western media.

The expert also did not rule out the emergence of new figures and unexpected initiatives, including from American intermediaries, such as US Special Envoy Jared Kushner.
