The winners of the Russian Cross-country Championship were determined in Mozhaisk

On August 16, the sixth stage of the Russian Cross-country Championship ended at the Aliskino Motorsport Arena. The second day of the competition turned out to be really dramatic: it started raining the night before and the track got quite soaked overnight. But the morning mud quickly gave way to afternoon dust, and the race went on as normal. After two days, the KAMAZ-Master Junior team became the absolute heroes of the competition, but the main intrigue was created by the adult stars who took part in the AMA Summer Cup.

If on Saturday the track belonged to juniors, and adults were able to try out the racing surface and go out for training only in the evening, then on Sunday the pilots of the DZ-Sprint competition for the prizes of the AMA Summer Cup complemented the race struggle of the Russian Cross Country Championship. Eight athletes on powerful cross-country cars joined the 44 pilots of the youth competitions of the Russian Cross-country Championship at the start. Among the participants of the DZ-Sprint are five—time Dakar winner and head of the KAMAZ-master racing team Eduard Nikolaev, his teammate Airat Mardeev, as well as famous racer Anastasia Nifontova and one of the most promising young pilots of the country Timofey Zharkov. For many young participants of the stage, the opportunity to perform with their idols on the same track became the main impression of the weekend.

Alexandra Zvereva from Verkhnyaya Pyshma became the main character of the stage — she won in two classes at once: D3-250 and Buggy 600. In D3-250, Daniyar Khasanshin (2nd place, Naberezhnye Chelny) and Mikhail Lomakin (3rd place, Tver) also rose to the podium. In the Buggy 600, silver went to Demid Yushkov, and bronze was won by Emil Diyarov. Dmitry Vlasov from Vidnoye became the best in the D3-Mini class, ahead of Mark Avilov and Sergey Makarov.

Matvey Rudkovsky from Verkhnyaya Pyshma became the undisputed leader at the RAF Academy (D3-Micro), who won two out of three finals and confidently took gold in the competition.

Zakhar Marchenko unexpectedly won the DZ-Sprint (Summer AMA Cup), ahead of Timofey Zharkov and Albert Fatikhov.

Eduard Nikolaev, head of the KAMAZ-master team, a five-time Dakar winner: "The impressions, of course, are tremendous. This is my debut, my first participation in the autocross discipline. We were given the opportunity to drive these supercars, and I'm still impressed by the incredible dynamics, speed, and suspension. I would like to thank Damir Fatekhov, who builds these amazing machines — this is really the next step for the younger generation after the D3-600 class. Children from the age of 16 can already get into these sprints, and you can see how much the guys are into cars, even though they have appeared recently. I wish this class prosperity and good luck, such cars need to be promoted, they need to be driven — this is our future. Special thanks to Konstantin Zhiltsov and his team for the wonderful track and the hospitality. Everyone enjoyed it, even in spite of the rain and mud. I invite everyone to the final stage in Naberezhnye Chelny in September, where we will summarize the results of the children's autocross season."

In the team competition, the first place was taken by KAMAZ-Master Junior (Naberezhnye Chelny), the second by CSKA (Moscow), and the third by UIA DO Secondary School for AMS (Verkhnyaya Pyshma).

The main event of Sunday was a visit to the autodrom by the wards of the Konstantin Khabensky Charitable Foundation. 10 children came to the Aliskino Motorsport Arena to watch the race live. The boys were given a tour of the paddock, introduced to the pilots, shown the cars and allowed to sit at the wheel. The festive atmosphere, the roar of engines and the smiles of children became the best reminder that motorsport is not only about speed and struggle, but also the joy it brings to everyone around.
