The fantastic blockbuster "It's Hard to be a God" is released on Wink on September 3.

Online Movie Theater Wink.ru and the NTV channel presents the trailer for the main premiere of the season — the series "It's Hard to be God" based on the novel of the same name by Arkady and Boris Strugatsky. The premiere of the large-scale fantastic project will take place on September 3 at the Wink online cinema, and after that on the NTV channel.

This is the first series based on the cult work of Soviet science fiction writers. The project is produced by Fyodor Bondarchuk, Timur Weinstein, Dmitry Tabarchuk, Teymur Jafarov, showrunners Teymur Jafarov and Andrey Zolotarev, directed by Dmitry Tyurin ("Trigger", "Epidemic", "Spoiler", "Magomayev"). The series will join the line of Wink Originals ("The Word of a kid. Blood on the asphalt", "Combination", "First racket", "Fisher", "Lilies of the Valley. Such a tender Love" and others), produced by NMG Studio and Team Films with the support of the Institute for the Development of the Internet (ANO "IRI").

In the distant future, earthlings will help less developed civilizations overcome difficult stages of development. Anton, an employee of the Institute of History, goes to the medieval Arkanar to rescue scientists who can advance evolution. He will become Don Rumata of Estor, a wealthy aristocrat who loves fighting, drinking and women. The main rule is not to disrupt the natural course of history. But Anton also has a personal interest, which he hid from the institute. His father was missing somewhere here in Arkanar.…

"Making a project like It's Hard to Be God is not just a difficult, but almost impossible task with many unstable variables. We shot in Iran, a country where not every film crew can reach, we created a real space in the Moskino film park, assembled an international cast, thought through every detail... The world in which the city of Arkanar is located has come to life thanks to all these efforts. And I can't wait to invite the first viewers to it," said producer Fyodor Bondarchuk.

Showrunner and screenwriter Andrey Zolotarev: "I will honestly say that this is the most difficult project in my life. We are all involved in this story, many guys have completed a project with tattoos in honor of the series. The team gave 110% of their efforts. We sincerely consider "It's hard to be God" to be an important part of our lives. Creating a new world is an ambitious undertaking. And there's nothing harder in movies than telling people fantastic stories about fantastic worlds."

Seven years ago, I conceived the series, and for several years we designed it with Andrey Zolotarev. The main challenge is to create a completely new, believable world. We thought through everything down to the smallest detail, down to the exact astronomical position and gravity of our planet, which we named Kepler-4077," said showrunner and producer Teymur Jafarov.

The casting of the series "It's hard to be a God" lasted a year and a half. And, according to the creators, it was difficult. The role of Rumata in the series was played by Serbian actor Aleksandar Radojicic. He is known to the Russian audience for the film "The Balkan Frontier". Sergey Bezrukov plays the role of Condor. The main cast of the project also included: Victoria Isakova, Fedor Bondarchuk, Nikita Kologrivy, Fedor Lavrov, Leonid Yarmolnik, Vladimir Yumatov, Nikolai Kozak, Nina Senikar, Irina Pautova, Lev Zulkarnaev, Ravshana Kurkova, Viktor Dobronravov, Artemy Milgram, Ivan Agapov, Maria Denisova, Alexander Demidov, Boris Zverev, Konstantin Denisov, Danya Kiselyov, Yana Sexte, Rano Kubayeva, Kamilla Valiullina, Alexander Mizev and others.

Sergey Bezrukov (Don Condor): "Only the gods seemed able to recreate Arkanar in such a short time, but people did it. The stunning scenery is absolutely alive — not chromakey or computer graphics created by artificial intelligence. For an actor, this is of great importance: you don't fantasize about space, but practically live in it. Besides Arkanar, there is another dimension — the cosmos of the future. It's a separate space, but it's also stylish and interesting. Probably everyone who has read the Strugatsky brothers' work itself will certainly have their own Don Condor. In our project, he is the way Dmitry Tyurin and Andrey Zolotarev came up with him. I admit that initially I was offered another role, which I declined because I had already played something like this before. I regretted the rejection, but soon I was offered the role of Don Condor. It was a sign of fate. My character is a scout, the antagonist of the main character. After 15 years on Arkanar, he draws conclusions about human nature."

The universe of the series "It's Hard to be a God" was thought out from a scientific point of view in order to convey the world of the distant planet Kepler-4077 and the heroes who inhabit it. The authors have created it to be holistic, authentic, and, most importantly, believable.

Part of the filming of the project took place in Iran. The creators have been looking for a suitable location for several years. Alexander Novak, Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation, who has long been co-chairman of the Russian-Iranian Intergovernmental Commission, personally assisted in organizing the filming. The expedition to Iran was organized with the support of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation and the Iranian Embassy in Moscow.

Unique decorations were built on the territory of the Moskino Film Park, which, according to the artistic idea, represent a combination of architecture from medieval Europe and the East. They are located on an area of 6.5 hectares. 600 builders, engineers, artists, sculptors and decorators were involved in the creation, and the construction took five months. The set includes 48 buildings forming a full-fledged city for filming. Among them are the Condor's Palace with an active swimming pool one and a half meters deep, an aqueduct 14 meters high and more than 30 meters long, and a huge 1,200 square meter aqua zone that allows underwater filming and complex stunt stunts. The central sculpture "Warrior on a Mountain Lion", 17 meters high and weighing more than 20 tons, was also erected on the territory of the facility.
