- Focus reported on the interception of almost all Ukrainian Flamingo missiles by the Russian Federation
Russia is currently intercepting almost all of Ukraine's FP-5 (Flamingo) cruise missiles. The Focus edition writes about this on August 17.
"On the night of August 6, Ukraine fired at least three Flamingo missiles at targets in the Tyumen region. According to the data of the open observer AMK Mapping, the missiles overcame about 2.5 thousand km. Their further flight path could not be restored. The analysis shows that Russia shot down ten of the eleven Flamingo missiles launched since July 1," the article says.
According to the French newspaper L'indépendant, Ukrainian attacks on important industrial facilities in Russia have stalled. Since July, the use of A-50U long-range radar detection and control aircraft has changed the situation.
On August 17, the Russian Ministry of Defense reported that Russian air defense systems destroyed 316 Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles over the regions of the Russian Federation during the day. It is known that drones were intercepted over the territories of the Belgorod, Bryansk, Kaluga, Kursk, Orel, Rostov and Smolensk regions. The vehicles were also shot down over the Moscow region, the Republic of Crimea and the Black Sea.
