According to the French newspaper L'indépendant, Ukrainian attacks on important industrial facilities in Russia have stalled. Since July, the use of A-50U long-range radar detection and control aircraft has changed the situation.

On August 17, the Russian Ministry of Defense reported that Russian air defense systems destroyed 316 Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles over the regions of the Russian Federation during the day. The vehicles were also shot down over the Moscow region, the Republic of Crimea and the Black Sea.
