AvtoVAZ resumed production after vacation

AvtoVAZ production facilities resumed operations after maintenance and modernization of equipment, which were carried out during a single corporate vacation from July 29 to August 16. This is stated in the company's message, which was received by Izvestia on August 17.

During the three weeks of the corporate vacation, more than 13 thousand works with a capacity of over 82 thousand man-days were completed, the cost of which exceeded 375 million rubles.

A significant part of the work was related to the final preparations for the launch of production of the Lada Azimut crossover — in particular, the modernization was carried out in the body welding shop and on the main assembly line.

In order to achieve the design capacity for the production of a new version of the Lada Niva Legend with galvanized body parts and a 1.8 liter engine, work was carried out in the welding and assembly workshop.

In addition, a robot for feeding the sidewall of the body to the welding station was installed in the production of Lada Granta. Work was also underway to prepare for the introduction of an automatic continuously variable transmission on this model in 2027.

As it became known on August 4, the Lada Largus model will appear in the Lada Easily car subscription service in September this year. The project also continues to expand its geographical presence: you can subscribe and get a car both in Moscow and in St. Petersburg.
