FT pointed out that Ukraine does not have missiles provided by the United States for Patriot

Ukraine has exhausted its stock of interceptor missiles for Patriot anti-aircraft missile systems, which were provided by the United States. This was reported on August 15 by the Financial Times (FT) newspaper, citing Ukrainian officials.

According to the newspaper, the calculations of the air defense of Ukraine were unable to use Patriot complexes to repel the latest attacks due to the lack of necessary ammunition for launchers.

"Ukrainian officials have stated that the country has already used up the small number of interceptors provided by Washington in recent weeks," the publication says.

In Kiev, they complain that there is nothing to shoot down ballistics with.

On August 13, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky announced the need to receive 5% of the American stocks of missiles for Patriot systems from the United States so that the country could survive the winter. According to him, this year the Ukrainian side received 2.5 times fewer interceptor missiles for Patriot than in 2025.

A report to the US Congress dated July 31 indicates that the North Atlantic Alliance was unable to launch the transfer of US weapons to Ukraine under the PURL program. By March 31, 21 countries had contributed $4.15 billion to the program. The money has been transferred to the US Treasury, but the arms supply contracts are still pending.
