The doctor named important rules of self-care for teenagers
The foundation of beauty for any teenager is, first of all, proper nutrition, high—quality self-care and healthy sleep, dermatovenerologist and cosmetologist Lyudmila Zepalova told Izvestia.
"Schoolchildren need to sleep for 8-9 hours. During sleep, growth hormone is produced, skin cells are renewed, which affects the appearance and the nervous system is restored. It is also important to give up sugary sodas to avoid inflammation on the skin," she explained.
It's not worth fighting rashes on your own, the expert warned. According to the expert, the skin should never be over-dried by aggressive means. Dense foundation is best avoided as it clogs pores and worsens acne. In addition, you should never squeeze out pimples, it spreads the infection and leaves scars (post-acne) that are difficult to remove.
Daily care, according to the specialist, should include gentle cleansing with a neutral gel, moisturizing with special creams and mandatory sun protection (SPF).
It is equally important to follow the rules of personal hygiene — take a shower with a soft gel daily, use deodorants and antiperspirants, brush your teeth twice a day and regularly change socks and underwear.
