A man was killed in a head-on accident involving a truck in the Angara region.

In the Nizhneudinsky district of the Irkutsk region, as a result of a collision between a car and a truck, a young man was killed and a girl was injured. This is reported by the regional State Traffic Inspectorate.

The accident occurred the night before, on August 11, on the 1340th km of the federal highway R-255 "Siberia". According to preliminary data, a 25-year-old Hyundai Elantra driver drove into oncoming traffic and crashed into a Mercedes-Benz truck.

As a result of the collision, the driver of the car was seriously injured, from which he died on the spot before the ambulance arrived. His 22-year-old passenger was taken to the hospital with injuries, IrkutskMedia news agency writes.

The police are conducting a check on the fatal accident. All circumstances are being established.

On the same day, two trucks collided on the R-255 Sibir highway in the same area. Both drivers were killed.
