A trucker from St. Petersburg was detained for transporting 358 kg of drugs to the United States. Izvestia found out on August 12.

According to the information received, the detainee is Anton Rakov, a 43—year-old native of the Sverdlovsk region. He previously had a registered sole proprietor in St. Petersburg. The detainee was engaged in activities in the field of television and radio broadcasting. In addition, Rakov was associated with the company for the production of machinery and other equipment "Bronzing Stylokved", which is also now liquidated.

In 2015, the man moved with Ksenia Rakova to the United States. It is noted that he lives there illegally. In addition, as Izvestia found out, many videos from nightclubs were posted on his page on the VKontakte social network.

The Livingston County Sheriff's Office in the United States announced on the same day that in the US state of Louisiana, sheriff's office officers seized one of the largest shipments of methamphetamine in the history of the region from a Russian citizen. It was clarified that during a subsequent search of the semi-trailer, drug enforcement department investigators found about 358 kg of methamphetamine, which was hidden inside the trailer.
