The Air Force Commander spoke about the role of reconnaissance and strike complexes.
Reconnaissance and strike systems are becoming one of the key elements of modern aviation, as they allow us to detect targets and strike them almost in real time. This was announced on August 12 by the Commander of the Russian Air Force, Deputy Commander-in—Chief of the Russian Air Force, Sergei Kobylash.
"In the conditions of a rapidly changing situation on the battlefield, it becomes especially important to strike enemy targets in real time, for which reconnaissance and strike complexes are being created, including reconnaissance equipment coupled with weapons of destruction," Kobylash said in an interview with the Krasnaya Zvezda newspaper on the 114th anniversary of the Air Force.
He noted that during the special military operation, modern aviation equipment has shown high efficiency in carrying out operational, tactical and tactical tasks.
According to the commander of the Air Force, aviation is used to strike high-precision weapons at important enemy infrastructure facilities, support ground units, conduct aerial reconnaissance and ensure air superiority.
Kobylash also stressed that aviation is becoming increasingly important in the fight against unmanned aerial vehicles and protecting groups of troops from air attacks.
Kobylash also announced earlier in the day that the fleet of combat aircraft of the Russian Air Force has been almost completely updated with modern aircraft and helicopters. According to him, Russian aviation has gained the opportunity to use a wide range of modern weapons with increased range and high accuracy.
The Russian Air Force celebrated its 114th anniversary on August 12. On this day, by order of the military department, the issues of aeronautics and aviation were transferred from the Main Engineering Directorate to the established Aeronautical Unit of the General Staff.
