The world's largest financial companies, together with Nvidia, plan to raise about $500 billion to finance the development of infrastructure for artificial intelligence (AI). This was reported on July 10 by the Financial Times (FT) newspaper, citing sources.

"The world's largest financial groups, together with Nvidia, are forming a $500 billion financing package for the development of AI infrastructure, which is one of Wall Street's most ambitious lending initiatives to date," the publication says.

It is specified that the association includes Apollo Global, Blackstone, BlackRock, Brookfield Asset Management, Goldman Sachs and KKR. The consortium members intend to invest in the development of AI infrastructure together with Nvidia. According to sources, the agreement could be announced as early as Monday.

This deal, as noted in the publication, is explained by the growing need for Nvidia and its customers to finance the production of chips, the construction of data centers and the creation of energy infrastructure for AI. The company's market value is estimated at about $5.25 trillion, and Nvidia itself is one of the key players in the industry, supplying graphics processors, infrastructure solutions, and AI software.

Business Insider reported on July 26 that Sam Altman, CEO of OpenAI, announced the achievement of the so—called singularity point in the development of AI - a moment when technological progress can become rapid and lead to large-scale changes in society. Altman noted that he had been waiting for this stage of technology development all his life and believes that the further development of artificial intelligence can have a positive impact on the whole world.
