Amur river level in Khabarovsk exceeded unfavorable level

In Khabarovsk, the water level in the Amur River exceeded the mark of an unfavorable phenomenon. It reached a value of 461 cm, while the level of the adverse event was 450 cm.

The island territories of the city are under threat of flooding. There is a spill of internal channels and lakes, groundwater outlet, writes IA AmurMedia with reference to the press service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations in the region.

So, as of August 10, the water cut off the routes to 129 suburban areas on the islands of Bolshoy Ussuriysky, Dachny and Kabelny. A section of the intra-village road in the village of Yelabuga and in the village of Mayak in the Nanai district was damaged, water came out on a section of one of the roads.

Earlier, the rescue service warned that by August 16, the water level in the Amur River could rise to 500 cm. Unfavorable phenomenon — 450 cm, dangerous — 600 cm.
