The head of Buryatia spoke about the comprehensive development of public transport

The "Transport menu" will allow for the comprehensive development of public transport, from the purchase of buses to the creation of "smart" stops. Alexey Tsydenov, the head of the Republic of Buryatia, told Izvestia about this on August 10.

"This is a menu that allows you to solve a set of tasks for public transport. Not only the availability of the buses themselves, but also improving the quality and level of service so that people feel comfortable," he told Izvestia correspondent Igor Baldin.

According to Tsydenov, the program proposed by the Ministry of Transport includes the purchase of rolling stock, the preparation of infrastructure for trams and trolleybuses, as well as improving the quality and level of service for passengers.

Tsydenov also spoke about the development of the road infrastructure. In five years, about 1,000 km of roads and 88 bridges have been built in Buryatia. According to him, the indicators set by the president provide for bringing 85% of roads in agglomerations and the backbone network to a standard state, and regional roads — up to 60%.
