NYT reported on Israel's cooperation with the Peace Council despite the rejection of the plan

Representatives of the Peace Council, created at the initiative of US President Donald Trump, believe that Israel continues to cooperate with the organization in the Gaza Strip, despite the rejection of the proposed plan. The New York Times (NYT) writes about this, citing a source.

"The representative of the Peace Council <...> stated that, despite Netanyahu's statements, the Council still observes Israel's cooperation on the ground in Gaza, for example, with regard to Israel's mitigation of almost daily strikes on Gaza," the publication said, citing an unnamed representative of the Council.

The publication notes that representatives of the Trump administration hoped to overcome the long-standing impasse over the situation in the Gaza Strip with the help of the agreement. At the same time, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's public rejection of the 15-point plan creates uncertainty around its further implementation.
