The owners of the Turkish cargo ship Mv Reyhan Sarı are preparing an appeal to the International Criminal Court against Ukraine after the attack by the country's Armed Forces (AFU). This was announced on August 9 by the portal HaberDenizde.com .
The company T ve O Denizcilik, which owns the ship, intends to file a lawsuit in The Hague. Her interests are represented by the law firm Memişoğlu Kurun.
The statement claims that the cargo ship and its living quarters were deliberately targeted, indicating a desire to harm civilians. Earlier, the Turkish vessel Nadezhda was also hit by an attack by the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
On July 22, the Turkish cargo ship Mv Reyhan Sarı was attacked in the Black Sea. Then, as a result of the incident, one person was killed and three others were injured. The crew was responsible for transporting coal from the Russian port of Taman to the Turkish Trabzon.
