United Russia has proposed to strengthen safety control at the attractions
The United Russia Party (EP) will propose to strengthen control over the technical condition of the attractions and compliance with safety requirements during their operation in all regions of the country. This was stated on August 7 by the chairman of the commission of the General Council of the party for the protection of motherhood, childhood and family support, Deputy Speaker of the State Duma Anna Kuznetsova.
"It is important to ensure the operation of uniform and understandable operating rules, regular inspections of equipment and clear criteria for admission of visitors, taking into account age and health characteristics. This applies to all regions of the country," Kuznetsova is quoted as saying on the EP's website.
The reason for the statement was an incident in Tyumen, where a girl fell out of an amusement ride cabin and was seriously injured. According to Kuznetsova, the incident requires a detailed check and should be a reason to strengthen control over compliance with operating rules, the serviceability of protective equipment and compliance with safety requirements.
The Vice Speaker of the State Duma also recalled that at the initiative of the United Russia commission on family issues, a Strategy for comprehensive child Safety in Russia until 2030 was developed, approved by Russian President Vladimir Putin.
According to her, as part of monitoring the implementation of the strategy and the "Childhood Safety" campaign, the party receives complaints from citizens about violations at attractions, playgrounds and territories near schools and kindergartens.
In Tyumen, on August 5, a 19-year-old girl fell out of a chair during the movement of an attraction. The girl was injured in a fall and was hospitalized, now she is under medical supervision. Investigators are establishing the causes of the incident.
