The Tverskoy Court of Moscow, at the request of the investigation, extended the term of house arrest to Yulia Paliychuk, the wife of the CEO of the Jam music publishing house, Andrei Cherkasov, who is accused of fraud. This was announced on August 6 by a source of Izvestia.
"Paliychuk's preventive measure has been extended," he said.
The investigation considers Paliychuk Cherkasov's accomplice, but her role in the case is not reported. The woman pleads not guilty.
The office of Profit LLC, which belongs to Cherkasov and is connected with the detention of singer Linda, was searched on May 12. The next day, it became known that the CEO of Jem was charged with two illegal episodes in accordance with Part 4 of Article 159 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Fraud committed by an organized group on an especially large scale") and Part 3 of Article ("Fraud committed by a person using his official position, as well as on a large scale").
The person involved, who was placed in a pre-trial detention center, is also accused of illegally forming a legal entity. Some time later, on May 18, it became known that Cherkasov had threatened the witnesses.
