The Russian Championship. Spartak – Krasnodar

The two finalists of the previous Russian Cup draw will play the central match of the third round of the current national championship this week. Both Spartak Moscow and Krasnodar started the RPL draw with two wins in two rounds and are in the leadership group. And in general, along with Zenit, they are considered the main favorites of the season. So their face-to-face match will largely determine the course of the race for the championship.

European Championship

The continental championship in Paris has reached its equator. The competitions in synchronized swimming and diving have recently ended, where Russian athletes won 12 medals, four of each dignity. Therefore, next weekend we will have a medal draw only in open water swimming, where Russians can compete for the podium, and in high diving, where our athletes are not announced.

WTA-1000 Tournament

The traditional series of major tennis tournaments in North America for the second half of summer continues this week. The turn has reached Canada, where the thousandth anniversary is held (the winner receives 1,000 points in his rating) — the men's in Montreal and the women's in Toronto.

All Russians have already left the men's team, and several of our representatives continue to fight in the women's team. Mirra Andreeva, Lyudmila Samsonova and Alina Korneeva will play their matches in the third round (1/16 finals) in the next 24 hours.
