More than 600 people suffered from tick bites in Yakutia

Since the beginning of the season, 626 cases of tick bites have been registered in Yakutia. This is reported by the republican Department of Rospotrebnadzor.

In most cases, the bites occurred in forests and on the territories of dachas. According to IA YakutiaMedia, the largest number of victims — 286 — was registered in the Lena region. Another 96 people were injured in the Aldan district. 41 cases have been registered in Yakutsk.

271 people were vaccinated against tick-borne encephalitis. Another 170 people were vaccinated in advance.

More than 420 thousand people have been affected by tick bites across Russia since the beginning of the season. The indicator is lower than the long-term average by 7.3%.
