In the Jewish Autonomous Region, they plan to introduce a high-alert regime due to the threat of flooding. According to forecasts, the water level in the Amur River may rise by 25 cm.

The hydrological situation was discussed at a meeting of the commission for the prevention and elimination of emergency situations and ensuring fire safety in the region. With rising water levels, flooding of lowlands and floodplains is possible, while there is no risk to residential buildings. This is reported by IA EAOmedia.

The Regional Department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations receives data from 20 hydraulic posts. Six operational groups have been created.

Following the meeting, it was recommended to introduce a high-alert regime from August 7. Instructions were also given to establish daily monitoring of the condition of hydraulic structures. Efforts to notify citizens about weather changes will be intensified.

Earlier in the day, weather forecasters reported the onset of a cyclone in the Khabarovsk Territory. Showers with thunderstorms are expected on August 7.
