Residents of Lipetsk were warned about 40-degree heat
Intense heat is coming to the Lipetsk region. The heat will begin to recede only on the night of Saturday, August 8.
According to GOROD48, the regional center for Hydrometeorology and Environmental Monitoring, on Friday, August 7, thermometers will rise to +36 degrees during the daytime. It will be up to +35 in Lipetsk.
Forecasters explained that the heat in the Lipetsk region is an echo of the extreme Central European heat. The region was caught in the crest of an anticyclone. However, this weather will last for one day, and on Saturday night a cold atmospheric front will approach the region. Thanks to it, the temperature will drop below +30 degrees.
The agency notes that in Lipetsk, employees of the landscaping department have been pouring the busiest streets of the city for several days.
Earlier it was reported that a heat wave of up to +32 degrees is expected in Moscow until August 7. This was warned on the website of the Main Directorate of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations in the capital. It was noted that such weather increases the risk of overheating, deterioration of well-being, as well as an increase in the number of accidents, man-made accidents and fires due to increased load on the power grid.
