By 2030, 29 metro stations and three electric depots will be built in Moscow.

The construction of the metro in Moscow has reached the maximum pace of work in five years, the mayor of the capital, Sergei Sobyanin, said on his channel in Maks. The plans by 2030 include the creation of almost 70 km of lines, 29 stations and three new electric depots.

The head of Moscow said that in seven months of this year, 14.7 km of subway tunnels were laid in Moscow. During this time, according to him, construction work was carried out at 25 stations, ten tunnel-boring mechanized complexes (TPMC) were operating.

In particular, metro builders have completed the construction of tunnels to extend the Arbatsko-Pokrovskaya line with the construction of the Golyanovo station. "In addition, they decided to extend it further beyond the MKAD to the Vostochny district," the mayor added.

Work is also continuing in the capital to extend the Troitskaya Line, where, in particular, the first stage tunnel was recently completed between Novomoskovskaya and Sosenki stations. In addition, the Rublyovo-Arkhangelskaya line and the Dostoevskaya station of the Ring Line are being built. In addition, experts are tunneling the Biryulevskaya line, Sobyanin recalled.

The Moscow Metro network has almost doubled since 2011. During this time, specialists have laid more than 270 km of lines, built and reconstructed 127 stations, 14 electric depots of the metro and the MCC.
