About 3 million telemedicine consultations were conducted by doctors from the Moscow region

Since the beginning of 2026, doctors in the Moscow Region have conducted about 3 million telemedicine consultations. Of these, more than 800,000 are for children.

The statistics were provided by Maxim Zabelin, Deputy chairman of the regional government and head of the Ministry of Health.

According to the online publication Podmoskovye Segodnya, using the remote medical care system, you can extend an electronic prescription for discounted medicines, get a transcript of tests, adjust treatment, or close a sick leave.

Zabelin noted that, thanks to the development of remote services, the availability of care for residents of the Moscow region is increasing, polyclinics are being unloaded. There are 15 specialized telemedicine centers in the region that deal only with online appointments.

Earlier it was reported that the number of ambulance crews in the Moscow region has increased by 16% in three years. This was announced by the Ministry of Health of the region. The number of brigades increased from 545 to 633. This has made it possible to increase the availability of emergency medical care for residents of the Moscow region. More than 1.2 thousand students are interning at the Moscow Regional Ambulance Station. A set of social support measures is in place in the region to attract new specialists and support existing doctors.
