In Murmansk, a bear was spotted at the entrance to the Sunny Hill of the Pervomaisky district. The mayor of the city, Ivan Lebedev, wrote about this in his social networks. According to him, the animal ran out in front of his car.

Information about the incident was passed on to specialists. The mayor urged the townspeople to be careful while walking in the area of the hill.

Bi-port news agency clarifies that the height of the Sunny Hill is 305 m. Every year in January, the First Dawn campaign is held there, dedicated to the end of the polar night.

The brown bear hunting season started in the Murmansk region on August 1. The total population of this predator in the region is 1,056 individuals. It is allowed to get 158 animals.
